Access to menstrual hygiene products is a major challenge for many women and girls in rural and underprivileged areas. Sawaya Foundation is dedicated to promoting menstrual health and dignity through sanitary pad distribution programs and awareness campaigns.
We distribute free or affordable sanitary pads to women and adolescent girls, ensuring they can manage their hygiene safely and confidently. Along with distribution, we conduct educational sessions to break myths and taboos surrounding menstruation. These sessions focus on hygiene practices, health awareness, and empowering women to speak openly about their needs.
Our initiative not only improves health conditions but also helps reduce school dropouts among girls.
